From hardware to a practical FPS estimate.
RigMetric combines game performance profiles, hardware scores, RAM requirements and sourced benchmark records to make PC performance easier to understand.
1. Choose your hardware
Select your GPU, CPU and system RAM. The hardware database contains performance scores used by the estimation model. These scores are comparative inputs, not official manufacturer ratings.
2. Choose the game
Each game has a performance profile containing a baseline FPS target, approximate RAM requirement, suggested preset and upscaling guidance.
3. Choose resolution
RigMetric currently supports 720p and 1080p. Resolution is important because reducing rendering resolution can substantially reduce GPU workload.
4. Check for a benchmark
RigMetric first looks for a stored sourced benchmark matching the selected game, GPU, CPU and resolution. Exact records can provide published average FPS and, where available, a 1% low.
5. Estimate when needed
If no matching benchmark exists, the estimator scales the game's profile using the relative GPU and CPU scores, RAM effects, integrated-GPU behaviour and resolution.
6. Explain the result
The result includes an FPS range, playability status, suggested preset, upscaling guidance, RAM check, likely limitation and hardware considerations.
Why use a range?
PC performance is not a fixed number. Different scenes, drivers, temperatures, settings and background processes can change FPS. A range communicates uncertainty more honestly than pretending one number is guaranteed.
What RigMetric does not do
RigMetric does not run a benchmark on your computer, measure your temperatures or guarantee a particular FPS. It is a planning and estimation tool.
