An FPS calculator estimates how many frames per second a PC may deliver in a game. RigMetric considers the selected processor, graphics card, system RAM, game profile and resolution. Where sourced benchmark data is available, that evidence takes priority; otherwise the result is labelled an estimate.
GPU performance, CPU limits, RAM capacity and channel configuration, resolution, graphics settings, drivers, thermals, power limits and game updates can all change real-world FPS.
Lowering resolution generally reduces GPU workload and can increase FPS when the GPU is limiting performance. If the CPU is already the main limit, changing resolution may have a smaller effect.
